County Hosts Pool Parties
For Middle, High Schoolers

County middle and high school students can cool off this summer at Friday evening pool parties to be held throughout the County.

The parties, which will run from 8:30 to 11 p.m., will feature watersports, sand volleyball, prizes and music. Refreshments will be on sale at each party.

Cost is $2 and each student must present a school ID or be accompanied by a parent.

Pool parties will be held at the following locations:

July 14 and August 4, Long Branch Pool, 8700 Piney Branch Rd., Silver Spring;

July 21, Western County Pool, 20151 Fisher Ave., Poolesville; and

July 28, Germantown Pool, 18905 Kings View Dr. (Clopper Rd.).

The pool parties are sponsored by the Montgomery County Department of Recreation and the Youth Advisory Committee. To help ensure efficient service for all, students requiring special assistance, (i.e., mainstreaming, financial aid, etc.) should call the Recreation Department in advance.

Parent volunteers are also welcome.
