Computer Recycling Event
For Businesses and Residents
On Sunday July 16

Businesses and residents can recycle old and/or unwanted computers and computer related equipment at the County's Solid Waste Transfer Station on July 16, between 9 a.m. and 4 p.m. (rain or shine). The Transfer Station is located at 16105 Frederick Road, Derwood (use Shady Grove Road entrance). All collected materials will be recycled through donations, reuse or remanufacturing.

Items such as old or unwanted central processing units - regardless of age or speed -- hard drives, monitors, keyboards, printers and copiers, laptop computers, wires and power cords, computer speakers, surge protectors, video cards, scanners, computer mice, software and other peripheral computer equipment may be dropped off. Monitors with broken screens and other forms of electronic equipment will not be accepted.

Other computer recycling events will occur on the following Sundays: September 17, October 8, October 22 and November 12.
