Volunteers Needed Today to Help Neighbors

The Montgomery County Volunteer Center needs volunteers today who can help their elderly or disabled neighbors by shoveling walks and driveways or picking up prescriptions. Federal workers, teachers, students and others who unexpectedly have today off are urged to consider donating a few hours to help those in need.

The Volunteer Center has set up a special hotline in response to yesterday's snowstorm that matches volunteers with community needs. Anyone who can help for even one or two hours today should call 240-777-2600.
