Evergreen Senior Program
To open at Germantown Community Center
A program designed to expand educational, recreational and cultural opportunities for senior adults will be launched at the Germantown Community Center on September 5 at 10 a.m. The Evergreen Senior Program, which will meet on Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Fridays, from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m., will feature health and fitness activities, English and citizenship classes, and dance and special interest workshops.
The grand opening will feature entertainment provided by the Chinese Culture and Community Service Center (CCACC), an overview of the Evergreen Senior Program, and refreshments.
The new program is the result of a partnership between the CCACC and the Montgomery County Department of Recreation. The Evergreen Senior Program and the Germantown Neighborhood Senior Program, are expected to play a vital role in the Germantown Community Center's core program which complements Montgomery County's diversity initiatives and seeks to serve older adults in the Germantown community.
