County Announces
Revised Trash Collection Schedule;
Recycling Collection Postponed

County provided trash collections will resume on Thursday January 27. Residents normally scheduled for Tuesday or Wednesday trash collection should put their trash at the curb by 7 a.m. on Thursday. If trash is not picked up on Thursday, residents are asked to leave the trash at the curb for pickup on Friday.

Residents normally scheduled for Thursday collection should put their trash at the curb by 7 a.m. Friday.

Residents scheduled for Friday collection should put their trash at the curb by 7 a.m. on Saturday.

Recycling Collection Postponed
Montgomery County has cancelled recycling collection for the rest of this week to allow collection crews to assist in catching up on the two days of cancelled trash collection caused by the snow storm. Residents are asked to hold all recycling materials until next week.

On Thursday and Friday, the County's Transfer Station will remain open until 7 p.m. to allow companies serving County businesses and residents to catch up on storm-related delays.

Residents may receive updates on trash and recycling collections during inclement weather emergencies by calling the County's Emergency Information Line at 240-777-6500 (press #2), by watching County Cable Montgomery Channel 55 (Channel 5 on cable-ready sets or 6 on Starpower) or accessing the Solid Waste Services web site at www.dpwt.com/SolWstSvcDiv.
