OPERATING BUDGET

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE: September 19, 2000

The public is invited to attend an October 16 forum on the Montgomery County Department of Health and Human Services FY2002 operating budget. The event will be held from 7 to 9:30 p.m. in the auditorium of the Children's Resource Center, located at 332 W. Edmonston Drive. Free parking is available.

Robert Kendal, director of the Office of Management and Budget, will present the County's fiscal forecast for FY2002. Following the briefing, forum participants will have an opportunity to help identify services that will ensure that residents are safe, healthy and self-sufficient.

Commissions and boards will have three minutes to speak and all others will have two minutes to speak. Please call 240-777-1211 (voice) or via Maryland Relay Service at 711 by October 11, 2000 to sign up to speak.
