COUNTY HONORS VOLUNTEER
FIRE AND RESCUE WORKERS

Sixty volunteer firefighters, rescuers, and emergency medical service workers will be honored for their outstanding community service efforts on Tuesday, October 10, at 7 p.m. during an awards ceremony. The ceremony will be held at the F. Scott Fitzgerald Theatre, located at 603 Edmonston Drive in Rockville.

Scheduled to attend are Lt. Governor Kathleen Kennedy Townsend; Congresswoman Constance A. Morella; Colonel David B. Mitchell, Superintendent of the Maryland State Police; Assistant Chief Administrative Officer William Mooney; County Council President Michael Subin; and members of the Fire and Rescue Commission. The ceremony will be narrated by Chief James Seavey of the Cabin John Park Volunteer Fire Department and Deputy Chief Michael Kelley of the Sandy Spring Volunteer Fire Department.

The ceremony marks the twelfth annual event sponsored by the County Executive and the Fire and Rescue Commission to honor volunteers for their outstanding achievements and emergency responses in the Community.
