Revenue Authority Names
New Head Golf Professional
At Falls Road Golf Course
The Montgomery County Revenue Authority has named Jon R. LeSage as the new Head Golf Professional at Falls Road Golf Course. LeSage, 34, will fill the position vacated by Chuck Walker, who is retiring on December 31, 2000, after 23 years of service. The Revenue Authority selected LeSage following an extensive search that yielded 34 applicants for the position.
"The Revenue Authority is very pleased to have someone of Jon's ability and experience to serve as Head Professional at Falls Road," said Marc Atz, Director of the Montgomery County Revenue Authority. "Jon's solid background in golf will prove valuable as we reshape Falls Road Golf Course, where we are improving practice facilities this year, constructing a new clubhouse next year and accomplishing subsequent golf course improvements that are planned."
LeSage has more than 17 years of experience in the golf business, including 11 years at Congressional Country Club, TPC Avenel, and Columbia Country Club and 6 years in key roles at Chantilly Golf Center, Ironwood Sports Park, and, most recently, White Flint Golf Park. LeSage was elected to membership in the PGA of America in 1993. Among his golf achievements are competing in the 1996 Kemper Open, and, ironically, shooting even par 72 the first time he played in a high school golf match at Falls Road Golf Course as a member of the Walter Johnson High School Golf Team.
LeSage attended Methodist College in Fayetteville, North Carolina from 1984-1989 and played for the Methodist Golf Team. LeSage lives with his wife, Anne, in Silver Spring, Maryland.
