Ride On Announces Bus Schedules for the Holidays;
Ride On Free After 6 p.m. on New Year's Eve

Montgomery County's Ride On bus system will provide free rides after 6 p.m. on New Year's Eve. Because New Year's Eve this year falls on a Sunday, Ride On buses will operate on their normal Sunday schedule, but any regularly scheduled buses that run after 6 p.m. will waive the fare.

Ride On will operate on a Sunday schedule for both Christmas Day and New Year's Day.

On Christmas Eve, service will end at 10 p.m. (See attached for times of last trips.)

Ride On offers the following tips for the holidays:

Ride On Holiday Schedule

1) Passes and tokens can now be purchased online at www.RideOnbus.com and make great gifts. The Ride On 20-Trip Ticket has no expiration date and only costs $10. Deliveries are made by U.S. mail, so please allow three to five business days for orders.

2) Ride On serves all the major malls, and the free Bethesda, Silver Spring and Rockville Pike Shuttles make lunchtime errands and holiday shopping very convenient.
