Duncan Seeks Applicants to fill Vacancies on the
Partnership Board for Victims of Hate/Violence
County Executive Douglas M. Duncan is seeking applicants to fill three vacancies on the Partnership Board for Victims of Hate/Violence. These are full-term vacancies expiring in February 2003, and all incumbents are eligible to reapply for appointment.
The board reviews and approves applications from victims for compensation from the Partnership Fund for Victims of Hate/Violence. Members also seek public awareness for the fund, and publicize and work with local media, businesses, schools, churches, and community organizations.
Members serve three-year terms without compensation. The board meets on the first Wednesday of each month at 8 a.m. in Rockville.
Applicants should write by March 3 to County Executive Douglas M. Duncan at the Executive Office Building, 101 Monroe Street, Rockville, MD 20850. A brief resume, including home and work numbers, should be enclosed. Members of County boards, committees, and commissions may not serve on more than one such group at a time.
Duncan's appointments are subject to confirmation by the County Council. Applications of those selected for appointment are made public as part of the confirmation process.
