Evening Swim Parties
Scheduled for Students

Local middle and high school students can "think summer" in the midst of winter at one of two scheduled evening pool parties to be held at the Olney Indoor Pool, 16601 Georgia Ave.

Students may wear t-shirts over suits, and each person must bring their own towel and lock. No gym shorts or cut-offs are allowed in the pool.

High School

Montgomery County high school students are invited to an Indoor Beach Party on February 18 from 8:30 to 11 p.m. Highlights will include a deejay, pool games, prizes, water volleyball and refreshments (for sale).

Admission is $5 and a school ID is required unless accompanied by a parent. Riders must be picked up by 11 p.m.
The Indoor Beach Party is sponsored by the County's departments of Police and Recreation and the Youth Advisory Committee.

Middle School

A Pool Party for County school students on February 19, from 8 to 10 p.m. Activities will include water volleyball, prizes and a deejay. Refreshments will be sold on site.

Transportation will be provided from the following middle schools at 7:30 p.m.: William H. Farquhar, 16915 Batchellors Forest Rd, and Rosa M. Parks, 19200 Olney Mill Rd., both in Olney; Redland, 6505 Muncaster Mill Rd., Rockville; Silver Spring International, 313 Wayne Ave., Silver Spring; and Shady Grove, 8100 Mid-County Highway, Gaithersburg. Students will be returned by 10:30 p.m.

Admission is $2 and a school or Teen Club ID is required, unless accompanied by a parent. The pool party is sponsored by the Recreation Department.
