High School Bands Sought
To Compete in the Battle of the Bands

Local high school bands are invited to compete in the 11th annual Battle of the Bands to be held on April 8 in the Executive Office Building cafeteria, 1010 Monroe St., Rockville, from 7 to 11:30 p.m.

The event is sponsored by Montgomery County Students Against Drunk Driving (SADD) and the Department of Recreation's Youth Advisory Committee. Seven bands will be chosen to compete for prizes, which include restaurant coupons, Kings Dominion passes, CD's and t-shirts.

Applications, which must be returned by March 13, are available from the SADD advisors at local high schools or by calling the Department of Recreation at 240-777-6961.
