Pulitzer Prize winning author
To speak at Silver Spring Library

Henry Allen, Pulitzer Prize winner and feature writer and editor for the Washington Post, will discuss and sign his new book What It Felt Like: Living In The American Century at the Silver Spring Library on January 24, beginning at 8 p.m.

Allen's latest work, published by Pantheon, a division of Random House, portrays the past 100 years, bringing to life the sights, sounds and events that defined America in the 20th century.

A Takoma Park resident, Allen has written for the New Yorker, the New York Review of Books, the Paris Review and Vogue.

The book discussion and signing is sponsored by the Friends of the Silver Spring Library. The library is located at 8901 Colesville Road.
