National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST)
Centennial Celebration Features Korean Art Performers

The public is invited to attend a musical and dance performance of the noted Gwangju City Traditional Art Company of Korea on March 25 as part of the Centennial Celebration of the National Institute of Standards (NIST). The free performance will be held from 7 to 9 p.m. in the Red Auditorium in the Main Administration Building on the Gaithersburg campus, 100 Bureau Drive. Seating, which is limited to 800, is first-come, first-served.

Among the dignitaries expected to attend are the Korean ambassador and a member of the Korean legislature. Karen Brown, acting director of NIST (or her representative) will give welcoming remarks.

The program is sponsored by the Association of National Institute of Standards and Technology Asian Pacific Americans, the NIST Centennial Celebration Committee, and the Montgomery County Executive’s Office of Community Outreach.

Following their performance at NIST, the Gwangju City Traditional Art Company of Korea will perform later in the week at the Kennedy Center.
