Duncan Seeks Applicants
For Commission On Children & Youth
County Executive Douglas M. Duncan is seeking applicants to fill four vacancies on the Montgomery County Commission on Children and Youth. One partial term vacancy is for an agency which provides services to children and youth representative, and three vacancies (one full term and two partial terms) are for parent representatives.
The 27-member Commission advises the County Executive, County Council, Department of Health and Human Services, and Board of Education on policies, programs and services which support children, youth and their families. Adult members serve three-year terms without compensation.
Meetings are held the second Wednesday of each month (except August) in Rockville. Members are expected to serve on committees of the Commission and these meetings are held as needed.
Applicants should write by May 4 to County Executive Douglas M. Duncan at the Executive Office Building, 101 Monroe Street, Rockville, MD 20850. A resume with home and office telephone numbers should be included. Members of County boards, committees, and commissions may not serve on more than one such group at a time.
Duncan’s appointments are subject to confirmation by the County Council. Applications of those selected for appointment are made public as part of the confirmation process.
