Gaithersburg Library Plans
Special Kickoff Event
For Summer Reading Program

Young readers and picnics are welcome at the Gaithersburg Regional Library’s Summer Reading 2001 kickoff to be held on June 27 on the lawn of Gaithersburg City Hall, beginning at 7 p.m.

A free concert by the Grammy-nominated duo of Cathy Fink and Marcy Maxer will mark the kickoff and celebrate the 50th anniversary of the Montgomery County Public Libraries.

The Gaithersburg Library will also host a variety of programs for children and their families, beginning June 28 and continuing on the second and fourth Thursdays in July and August. All programs will be held at 2 p.m.

On July 31, a special program featuring the Redskins Readmobile will be held at 11 a.m., with prizes, games, football helmets and jerseys from the players.
