Duncan Seeks Applicants For
Wheaton Urban District Advisory Committee

County Executive Douglas M. Duncan is seeking applicants to fill two vacancies on the Wheaton Urban District Advisory Committee. The eleven member committee provides information and advice to the Mid-County Regional Services Center regarding promotions, maintenance, service levels, and budgetary guidance for the downtown Wheaton Urban District.

One vacancy must be filled by a Wheaton area small business representative that employs fewer than ten employees and one vacancy must be filled by Wheaton area large business representative that employs ten or more employees. One incumbent is eligible to apply for reappointment.

Members serve three-year terms, without compensation and meet on the second Tuesday of each month at 4:30 p.m. at the Mid-County Regional Services Center, 2424 Reedie Drive, Wheaton, Maryland.

Interested applicants should write to County Executive Douglas M. Duncan no later than August 3 at the Executive Office Building, 101 Monroe Street, Rockville, MD 20850. A brief resume including home and work telephone numbers should be enclosed. Members of County boards, committees and commissions may not serve on more than one such group at a time.

Duncan’s appointments are subject to confirmation by the County Council. Applications of those selected for appointment are made public as part of the confirmation process.
