DUNCAN SEEKS APPLICANTS TO FILL VACANCIES
ON ADVISORY COMMITTEE ON CONSUMER AFFAIRS
County Executive Douglas M. Duncan is seeking applicants to three vacancies on the Advisory Committee on Consumer Affairs. One vacancy is for a public-at-large representative, one vacancy is for a Better Business Bureau or another County-wide association of merchants representative and one vacancy is for a representative nominated from the Community Action Board. Two incumbents are eligible to apply for reappointment.
The nine-member committee advises the County’s Department of Housing and Community Affairs, Division of Consumer Affairs. Members serve three-year terms without compensation. Meetings are held the first Tuesday morning of each month in Rockville at 8:00 a.m.
Interested applicants should write by August 3 to County Executive Douglas M. Duncan at the Executive Office Building, 101 Monroe Street, Rockville, MD 20850. A brief resume including home and work telephone numbers should be enclosed. Members of County boards, committees and commissions may not serve on more than one such group at a time.
Duncan’s appointments are subject to confirmation by the County Council. Applications of those selected for appointment are made public as part of the confirmation process.
