County Sponsors Health Fair
August 19

The public is invited to attend a free health fair on Sunday, August 19 from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. at the Takoma-Langley Park Community Center in Takoma Park.

Attendees can learn about diabetes, infant mortality, oral health and HIV/AIDS, and can receive free vision, hearing, bone density, cholesterol and pulmonary function testing and blood pressure screening.

There will be musical entertainment, a moon bounce for children and other activities throughout the day.

The health fair is co-sponsored by the Montgomery County African-American Health Initiative and the Washington Association for the Care of Haitians. Participants include the Montgomery County Department of Health and Human Services, the Academy for Educational Development, the Haitian Medical Association, Washington Adventist Hospital, Howard University Hospital, Prince George ‘s County Health Department and the Takoma Park Fire Department.
