Annual Germantown Oktoberfest
Announces New Site

Organizers have announced that the 19th annual Germantown Oktoberfest celebration will be held September 21 and 22 at a new location -- Route 118 and Middlebrook Rd. at the Germantown Town Center.

The event will kick off Friday evening with entertainment provided by The Fabulous Hubcaps at 6:30 and 8 p.m., plus children’s activities, followed by fireworks at dusk. The hot air balloon glow will be held between performances at 7:30 p.m.

Saturday’s events will begin with the traditional hot air balloon race to be held at the Germantown Community Center at 7 a.m. Beginning at 10 a.m., there will be German food, beer garden, music, crafts and entertainment in addition to children’s crafts and activities at the Town Center.

Parking will be available at local lots and shuttle service will be provided from various locations.
