County Amateur Radio Group
Offers Free Help to Contact
New York City Area Residents
Montgomery County's Office of Emergency Management and the volunteer Radio Amateur Civil Emergency Services (RACES) group are offering free assistance to individuals wishing to check on family members and friends in the New York City area.
RACES amateur radio operators will contact their counterparts in the New York City area and New York radio operators will then attempt to reach the individuals.
Anyone wishing to use this service should call the Office of Emergency Management and be prepared to provide the following information:
