Redesigns Kids Web Site

Montgomery County Public Libraries has redesigned the Kidsite section of the Libraries' web site to more easily and efficiently accommodate the needs of children, parents, caregivers and child care providers.

In addition to a brand new look to appeal to children, Kidsite contains new content that has been organized so web site customers can access information quickly. The new page allows a consistent navigation where customers will be able to link to any section of the web site from any page they visit by using the navigation bar.

The new features include:

• Web resources that have been evaluated and selected by MCPL librarians;

• A children's events schedule of programs at library branches;

• Homework Helpers to assist with common school assignments;

• Parents and Caregivers web resources related to reading with children, behavior and development, homework support, and activities to do; and

• MCPL-developed reading lists, and other recommended book web sites.
