County Crisis Center Offers Mental Health
Services in Wake of September 11 Events

The Montgomery County Crisis Center provides 24-hour telephone and walk-in crisis counseling for residents who may be experiencing emotional problems in the aftermath of the terrorist attacks on September 11.

The Crisis Center provides a variety of services including:

Services are free and available to all Montgomery County residents. For more information, call the Crisis Center at 240-777-4000.

Other counseling and support services are available to victims of violent crimes through the Victim Assistance and Sexual Assault Program (VASAP)—which can be reached through the Crisis Center—and to senior citizens through the County’s Department of Health and Human Services in conjunction with the Affiliated Sante Group.
