COUNTY HONORS VOLUNTEER
FIRE AND RESCUE WORKERS

Sixty-three volunteer firefighters, rescuers, and emergency medical service workers will be honored for their outstanding community service efforts on Wednesday, October 10, at 7 p.m. during an awards ceremony at the F. Scott Fitzgerald Theatre, 603 Edmonston Drive, Rockville.

Scheduled to attend are County Executive Douglas M. Duncan; Congresswoman Constance A. Morella; County Council President Blair Ewing; Colonel David B. Mitchell, Superintendent of the Maryland State Police; and members of the Fire and Rescue Commission. The ceremony will be narrated by Chief James Seavey of the Cabin John Park Volunteer Fire Department and Deputy Chief Michael Kelley of the Sandy Spring Volunteer Fire Department.

The ceremony marks the thirteenth annual event sponsored by the County Executive and the Fire and Rescue Commission to honor volunteers for their outstanding achievements and emergency responses in the community.
