Recycling Summit
Seeks Input from Residents
Montgomery County residents interested in helping to develop new strategies, programs and services that will help the County reach and exceed its 50 percent recycling goal are invited to attend the 2001 Recycling Summit on October 20, from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m., at the Executive Office Building Lobby Auditorium, 101 Monroe Street, Rockville.
Sponsored by the Division of Solid Waste Services, the summit will offer participants an overview of the current recycling program, including progress being made toward the 50 percent goal. The audience will be divided into small work groups to brainstorm ideas for additional ways to increase recycling efforts throughout the county. The groups will then record their ideas and prioritize the proposed strategies.
Registrations must be received by October 15. To register or to receive more information, contact Larry Greenfeld at 240-777-6445; fax, 240-777-6465; or e-mail larry.greenfeld@montgomerycountymd.gov.
