New Online Resources Allow County Residents to
Rapidly Report Broken Streetlights
Residents can now quickly report broken streetlights through the Internet by using the newest feature added to Montgomery County’s online services. The Montgomery County Department of Public Works and Transportation has combined the capabilities of the County’s web site with Geographic Information System maps to make it easy and convenient for residents to get broken streetlights repaired promptly.
When residents go to www.dpwt.com/tcle, they will be able to access a map of the County, zoom in on a streetlight location, and point and click on the streetlight that is not working properly. The streetlight location will then be added to a database that tracks the condition of County streetlights, improving accuracy of reporting and repair response time.
Montgomery County government's eMontgomery online services offer residents a wide range of services they can access from the convenience of home or office. Residents can pay parking tickets, track permits, apply for jobs, pay their property taxes, renew library materials, lease space in public facilities, view live traffic video at specific intersections, purchase Ride On and Metrobus passes, register for recreation classes, and access other services.
For more information, go to www.dpwt.com/tcle, or call the County’s Traffic Operations Section at 240-777-2190.
