Snouffer School Bridge to Close Temporarily for Repairs

Snouffer School Bridge over Cabin Branch will be temporarily closed to all traffic for about two weeks, starting October 22, while the Montgomery County Department of Public Works and Transportation (DPWT), Division of Highway Services, totally rehabilitates the bridge.

The old bridge will be removed and replaced with a new prefabricated fiber reinforced polymer bridge superstructure in order to minimize the amount of time traffic is disrupted. Staff will make minor repairs to the bridge’s concrete substructure, repave the roadway, and reinstall the traffic safety barrier.

Snouffer School Road will remain open to local traffic. Detour signs will be posted, routing traffic to Goshen Road and Centerway Road.
