Holiday Park Multiservice Senior Center
Celebrates Twentieth Anniversary
Holiday Park Multiservice Senior Center will celebrate 20 years of providing services to Montgomery County’s older adults at a gala ceremony on November 27 at 1 p.m.
The celebration will begin with a ribbon cutting ceremony to unveil a mosaic pillar design on the building portico, created through a grant from Montgomery County’s Arts Council. A commemorative program will follow, featuring a presentation by Montgomery County Delegate Adrienne Mandel, who served as the first program director at Holiday Park.
Center volunteers who have served the program since Holiday Park’s doors opened will be honored, in addition to persons who have played major roles in creating this “flagship senior center.” The Dale Jarrett Trio will provide entertainment including a patriotic medley, in addition to show tunes and standards. The celebration will conclude with a traditional cake cutting.
Located at 3950 Ferarra Drive in Wheaton, Holiday Park Multiservice Senior Center is a service of Montgomery County’s Department of Recreation Senior Programs. The center provides socialization, education, recreation and a host of services designed especially for residents 55 and older, the fastest growing segment of Montgomery County’s population. Holiday Park serves as a national and state model for senior centers. It is known for its award winning programs, special events and specialized services provided for older adults.
