Community Meeting Scheduled to
Discuss Wheaton Redevelopment Proposals
A community meeting will be held to discuss plans for the redevelopment of Wheaton on Tuesday, December 4, at 7:30 p.m. The meeting will be held at the Crossway Community Center, 3015 Upton Drive, Kensington (across from Westfield Shoppingtown Wheaton, off University Blvd.). Topics of discussion will include the proposals for two projects at the Wheaton Metro station, relocation of Good Counsel High School and redevelopment of the site, and relocation of the Wheaton Rescue Squad facility.
The meeting is being hosted by the Land Use Committee of the Mid-County Regional Advisory Board. Representatives of the Wheaton Redevelopment Program and Wheaton Rescue Squad will be present to discuss the proposals and respond to questions.
