County Officials to Discuss Pedestrian Safety and Access at
Next Bethesda Action Group Meeting

The public is invited to attend the next quarterly meeting of the Bethesda Action Group on January 3 at 7:30 p.m. to discuss pedestrian safety and access in the Bethesda area. Officials from the Montgomery County Department of Public Works and Transportation, including department director Al Genetti and the Montgomery County Police 2nd District, will conduct an open discussion and answer questions.

The meeting will be held at the Bethesda-Chevy Chase Regional Services Center, located at 4805 Edgemoor Lane, Bethesda. Parking is available in the County’s Woodmont parking garage for $.75 cents an hour. To access the parking garage from southbound Old Georgetown Road (Beltway Exit 36), turn right on Woodmont Avenue and then take the second left (a driveway) into the parking garage. From southbound Wisconsin Avenue (Rockville Pike), turn right onto Woodmont Avenue, go south for about one mile crossing over Old Georgetown Road, and then take the second left into the parking garage entrance. Coming north on Wisconsin Avenue or west on Route 410, take Old Georgetown Road north and turn left at the second traffic light, which is Woodmont Avenue. Take the second left into the parking garage.

The Regional Services Center is located in the two-story County office building on the plaza level of the Metropolitan complex, above the County parking garage. Take the elevators from the parking garage to the plaza level. The building is located in the center of the plaza. The entrance to the building is marked by the County and State flags and the County seal. The Regional Services Center is also accessible by Metro and is located across the street from the Bethesda Metro station.
