County's eMontgomery Online Services Expand
With Parking Ticket Payments

Parking tickets are the newest addition to Montgomery County government's eMontgomery online services, and residents can now pay for their tickets at any hour from the convenience of home or office.

Anyone with a computer, modem and access to the Internet can go to the Montgomery County website at co.mo.md.us and click on the eMontgomery icon at the top right corner of the screen to get to the site's interactive features.

By typing their license plate number and state in which their car is registered, residents can use eMontgomery to pull up a list of outstanding parking tickets, along with information on the ticket number, date, time, location, violation, and fine amount. Residents may pay by credit card, but debit cards may also be used in the near future.

The eMontgomery program was initially launched in July, enabling citizens to track permits, apply for jobs, pay their property taxes, renew library materials, lease space in public facilities and view live traffic video at specific intersections. Since that time, the site has expanded to include the sale of Ride On and Metrobus passes and other fare media, maps and directions to service facilities, and recreation class registration.
