Pulitzer Prize Winner
To Speak at Silver Spring Library
Michael Dirda, Pulitzer Prize winning writer and senior editor for The Washington Post Book World will discuss and sign his book "READINGS - Essays and Literary Entertainments" on April 4 at the Silver Spring Library, 8901 Colesville Rd., beginning at 8 p.m., as part of the library's Speakers Series.
In his book, Dirda covers various forms of writings from classics and children's books to crime fiction and American and European literature. He also explores fantasy writing, Irish novels, ghost stories, and the joys of book collecting.
Sponsored by the Friends of the Silver Spring Library, the Speakers Series is now in its sixth year of providing a public forum for notable local writers.
