ASSOCIATION COUNCIL APPOINTS
CHAIR AND VICE CHAIR

The Association Council of Montgomery County (ACMC), an advisory group to the Montgomery County Department of Economic Development (DED) has a new chair and vice chair for 2001.

Robert Day, executive director of the Renewable Natural Resources Foundation, will serve as ACMC chair and Dale Cyr, executive director of the American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers (ARDMS), will serve as vice chair. Both were elected for one-year terms by the full council of the ACMC, made up of representatives from the association community in Montgomery County.

"Both Mr. Day and Mr. Cyr bring valuable experience and commitment with them in their new roles as part of the ACMC," said David W. Edgerley, director of the Montgomery County Department of Economic Development, who made the appointments. "Under their leadership and guidance, I am confident the County's association community will greatly benefit from the many services and activities of the ACMC."

The ACMC was established in September 1999 to advise the Montgomery County Department of Economic Development (DED) on matters pertaining to associations and other nonprofit organizations within the County, to assist with the development and implementation of programs and activities that foster the sharing of information, resources, and concerns of associations in Montgomery County, and to help attract and retain associations in Montgomery County.
