Groundbreaking Planned For Outdoor Pool At Martin Luther King, Jr. Swim Center

A groundbreaking ceremony for the new outdoor pool at the Martin Luther King, Jr. Swim Center will be held on May 19 at noon. Local officials, including County Executive Douglas M. Duncan and Council member Marilyn J. Praisner, will participate in the ceremony for the new facility to be located adjacent to the indoor pool at 1201 Jackson Road, Silver Spring.

The outdoor construction will be complemented by some indoor renovations. The outdoor pool is due to open in May 2003.
