June 17 is Voter Deadline for
Party Affiliation Change

Registered voters in Montgomery County who wish to change their affiliation from one party to another before the September 10 Gubernatorial Primary Election must do so no later than 9 p.m. on Monday, June 17.

Voters who want to change their affiliation should send a written request to the Board of Elections, P.O. Box 4333, Rockville, MD 20849-4333. Changes can also be faxed to 240-777-8505. Requests should include the voter's full name, address, date of birth, new party affiliation and signature. Voters can also access the change of party affiliation form at the Board's website at: www.777vote.org/chgnameNEW.html. The form must be printed, filled out and signed, then mailed or faxed to the Board of Elections no later than 9 p.m. on June 17.

The Elections Office, located at 751 Twinbrook Parkway, Rockville, will be open to the public until 9 p.m. on June 17 to accommodate those voters who wish to deliver their affiliation change request in person.
