Duncan Seeks Applicants For
Library Board Vacancy

County Executive Douglas M. Duncan is seeking applicants to fill one partial-term vacancy on the Montgomery County Library Board. The term expires in September 2003.

The 12-member Advisory Board gives community input to the County Executive on matters affecting the public library systems. Members serve three-year terms without compensation. Meetings are held the second Wednesday of each month at 7:00 p.m. in the Department of Public Libraries, Administrative Offices, on the second floor of the Rockville Library. Each Board member serves as liaison to assigned Library Advisory Committees, which may involve additional meetings each month.

Applicants should write by February 23 to County Executive Douglas M. Duncan at the Executive Office Building, 101 Monroe Street, Rockville, MD 20850. A brief resume should be enclosed. Work and home phone numbers should be included. Members of County boards, committees and commissions may not serve on more than one such group at a time.

Duncan's appointments are subject to confirmation by the County Council. Applications of those selected for appointment are made public as part of the confirmation process.
