County’s Long Branch Task Force
To Hold Kick-Off Meeting September 19

The public is invited to attend the first meeting of the Long Branch Task Force on Thursday, September 19 from 7 to 9 p.m. The task force members represent homeowners, tenants, business, community and religious leaders, local schools, police and other County departments and were appointed by County Executive Douglas M. Members of the community who are interested in commercial revitalization on Flower Avenue and along Piney Branch Road or are concerned about safety, housing, schools and other quality of life issues in the Long Branch area of East Silver Spring are urged to attend the meeting to meet the members of the task force, learn what’s going on and find out how they can get involved.

The meeting will be held at the Long Branch Recreation Center, located at 8700 Piney Branch Road. For more information, please call Luann Korona at 240-777-3656 or by email to luann.korona@montgomerycountymd.gov.
