County Sponsors Fifth Annual Minority
Procurement Fair on March 8

Montgomery County's Fifth Annual Minority Procurement Fair will be held on Friday, March 8 at the University System of Maryland - Shady Grove Center. The fair will be held from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. in Building II, located at 9630 Gudelsky Drive, near the intersection of Shady Grove and Darnestown Roads.

"Montgomery County wants to do business with minority vendors, and this fair is an effort to encourage more minority businesses to participate in the County procurement process," said County Executive Douglas M. Duncan.

The fair offers information on such topics as writing proposals, financial planning, best value contracting and future construction projects. The event is sponsored by Montgomery County Government, Montgomery College, Montgomery County Public Schools, the Housing Opportunities Commission, Maryland-National Capital Park and Planning Commission and Washington Suburban Sanitary Commission.
