Public Invited to Second
Annual Housing Fair

The Montgomery County Department of Housing and Community Affairs is co-sponsoring its second annual housing fair with the City of Gaithersburg and the Upper Montgomery Assistance Network on Saturday, October 5, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. The fair will be held at the Activity Center at Bohrer Park, Summit Hall Farm, Gaithersburg.

The fair brings together local housing providers, businesses, government agencies and community organizations in one location to educate residents about housing programs and services. Up-to-date, accurate information on local housing resources will be available.

Some of the issues being addressed at the fair include credit counseling, home buying and refinancing, housing assistance, and housing safety issues. Workshops in English and Spanish are being planned, as well as a general vendor area for businesses, government and organizations to display information. Attendees can receive one-on-one assistance from vendors, and translation services will be available on-site for non-English speaking attendees. Food, entertainment and raffles will also be included.
