Showcase of Services Event Planned
To Educate Latino Community

Montgomery County Executive Douglas M. Duncan will help celebrate Latin American Heritage Month at the Showcase of Services and Fitness Awareness Event on Saturday, October 12 from 8:45 a.m. to 3 p.m., at Lakeforest Mall in Gaithersburg.

The event will highlight County initiatives and programs geared to assist and educate the Latino community. A Walkathon/Caminata at 8:45 a.m. will launch the Latino Health Initiative’s fitness campaign. There will also be live entertainment provided by Orchestra La Romana, a Salsa contest, activities and prizes.

Co-sponsors of the event include Lakeforest Mall, Amerigroup and the Montgomery County Latino Health Initiative.
