DUNCAN SEEKS APPLICANTS
FOR WHEATON URBAN DISTRICT
ADVISORY COMMITTEE For Immediate Release (June 6, l996)
County Executive Douglas M. Duncan is seeking applicants to fill four
expired terms on the Wheaton Urban District Advisory Committee. The six-
member committee provides information and advice to the Director of the Mid-
County Services Center regarding maintenance, service levels and budgetary
guidance for the Wheaton Urban District.
One vacancy must be filled by a representative nominated by the Wheaton/
Kensington Chamber of Commerce; one vacancy must be filled by a Wheaton area
business representative that employs fewer than ten employees; one vacancy
must be filled by a residential representative; and one vacancy must be filled
by a representative nominated by the Mid-County Citizens Advisory Board.
Three incumbents are eligible for reappointment.
Members serve three-year terms, without compensation and meet on the
third Wednesday of each month at 3:30 p.m.
Interested applicants should contact the nominating organization and
also write to County Executive Douglas M. Duncan no later than July 5 at the
Executive Office Building, l0l Monroe Street, Rockville, MD 20850. A brief
resume including home and work telephone numbers should be enclosed. Members
of County boards, committees and commissions may not serve on more than one
such group at a time.
