DUNCAN SEEKS APPLICANTS TO FILL
VACANCIES ON ADVISORY COMMITTEE
ON CONSUMER AFFAIRS                      For Immediate Release (June 13, 1996) 
 



     County Executive Douglas M. Duncan is seeking applicants for two public-
at-large vacancies on the Advisory Committee on Consumer Affairs.
     The nine-member committee advises the County's Office of Consumer
Affairs.  Members serve three-year terms without compensation.  Meetings are
held the first Tuesday evening of each month in Rockville from 7 - 9 p.m. 
     Interested applicants should write to County Executive Douglas M. Duncan
no later than July 5 at the Executive Office Building, l0l Monroe Street,
Rockville, MD  20850.  A brief resume including home and work phone numbers
should be enclosed.  Members of County boards, committees and commissions may
not serve on more than one such group at a time.
     Duncan's appointments are subject to confirmation by the County Council. 
Applications of those selected for appointment are made public as part of the
confirmation process.
