WHEATON SPARKLES
WITH FOOD AND FUN                For Immediate Release: June 19, 1996


     Fireworks are just part of the show at the second annual Wheaton
Sparkles July 4 celebration.
     Free activities for children, to be held in downtown Wheaton and Wheaton
Plaza, will include moonbounces, popcorn machines, face painters and
giveaways. 
     Food will be available from vendors at both locations, and a number of
the restaurants in the urban district will be open throughout the evening.
