7th ANNUAL FARM TOUR AND
HARVEST SALE SET FOR JULY 27             For Immediate Release: July 5, 1996

     Seventeen privately owned farms in Montgomery County will open their
doors to the public in celebration of the county's preserved farm heritage at
the Seventh Annual Farm Tour and Harvest Sale on Saturday, July 27, from 10
a.m. to 4 p.m. The tour and sale will be sponsored by the Montgomery County
Department of Economic Development, in cooperation with the Montgomery County
Farm Tour Committee.
     Farm tour participants will have the opportunity to purchase fresh
fruits and vegetables, including corn, peaches, tomatoes and berries grown on
the farms. Eggs, wine, beeswax candles, ornamental evergreens and yarn will
also be available.  Children's activities will include farm games and cows,
sheep, chickens, ducks and fish will be on display.
