TO SPONSOR GENEALOGY COURSE For Immediate Release: September 2, 1996
A three-part beginner's course on genealogy will be sponsored by the
Eastern County Services Center and the East County Citizens' Advisory Board.
The first two sessions will be held on September 24 and October 1, from
3 to 5 p.m. at the center, 13436 New Hampshire Ave in Colesville. The class
will be divided into two groups for the third and final "hands on" session at
the National Archives in Washington, D.C. on October 9 or 10, from 10 a.m. to
noon.
The program, conducted under the auspices of the National Archives &
Records Administration (NARA) Volunteer Community Outreach program, will be
taught by NARA volunteer and advisory board member, John D. Bowen, a
genealogical and military researcher.
Class size is limited to 40 attendees. To register, call the Eastern
