DUNCAN SEEKS TAXICAB SERVICES
ADVISORY COMMITTEE APPLICANTS           For Immediate Release (Sept. 18, l996)



     County Executive Douglas M. Duncan is seeking applicants to fill three
vacancies on the Taxicab Services Advisory Committee.  One vacancy must be
filled by a taxicab driver, non-owner/operator. and two vacancies must be
filled by public representatives.  The incumbent taxicab member is eligible to
apply for reappointment.  
     Members serve three-year terms.  The committee meets approximately seven
times a year.
     Applicants should write by October 4 to County Executive Douglas M.
Duncan at the Executive Office Building, l0l Monroe St., Rockville, MD  20850. 
A resume with home and office telephone numbers should be included.  Members
of County boards, committees and commissions may not serve on more than one
such group at a time.
     Duncan's appointments are subject to confirmation by the County Council. 
Applications of those selected for appointment are made public as part of the
confirmation process.
