COUNTY RECEIVES GRANT
FOR TRAFFIC SAFETY For Immediate Release: October 11, 1996
The Montgomery County Criminal Justice Coordinating Commission recently
received a $120,000 grant to develop programs to reduce traffic crashes and
injuries associated with drinking or drug-related driving and other unsafe
behaviors.
The grant from the Maryland Department of Transportation will help fund
a multi-year effort by the County's Criminal Justice Coordinating Commission
to identify and support local projects that alleviate highway traffic safety
problems through prevention, education and enforcement activities.
