VENDORS MUST BE LICENSED FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE: October 24, 1996
All vendors who sell, or offer to sell, goods and services in Montgomery
County must be licensed by the County Department of Permitting Services. Chapter
47 of the Montgomery County Code regulates vendor sales.
Depending upon the type of vending activity -- door-to-door, regular route,
or site specific -- license fees range from $25 for a daily license to $300 for
an annual license.
A brochure entitled; "Vendors: What You Need to Know." is available free
of charge at Montgomery County Public Libraries. The brochure can also be
obtained by calling the Department of Permitting Services Office of Vending
Licensing and Review Information Line at 301-217-6212. The office is located
at 250 Hungerford Drive, 2nd Floor, Rockville, Md 20850.
