DUNCAN SEEKS APPLICANTS
TO FILL WATER QUALITY
ADVISORY GROUP VACANCIES For Immediate Release (Oct. 30, l996)
County Executive Douglas M. Duncan is seeking applicants to fill two
vacancies for unexpired terms on the Water Quality Advisory Group. Terms
expire in May 1997 and May 1998. The vacancies must be filled by academic and
scientific water resources experts.
The 18-member committee provides recommendations to the County Executive
and the Council by March 1 of each year on issues related to the County's
water quality goals, objectives, policies and programs.
Members serve without compensation. Meetings are held the second Monday
evening of each month.
Applicants should write by November 22 to County Executive Douglas M.
Duncan at the Executive Office Building, 101 Monroe Street, Rockville, MD
20850. A resume, including work and home phone numbers, should be included.
Members of County boards, committees and commissions may not serve on more
than one such group at a time.
Duncan's appointments are subject to confirmation by the County Council.
Applications of those selected for appointment are made public as part of the
confirmation process.
