COUNTY EMPLOYEES FOR
DIVERSITY DAY ACTIVITIES For Immediate Release, October 31, 1996
The public is invited to a special Diversity Day program on November 13,
featuring arts and crafts, exhibits, food and entertainment. The free program
will be held from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. in the Executive Office Building (EOB), 101
Monroe Street in Rockville. County Executive Douglas M. Duncan will
officially open the program at 9:30 a.m. in the lobby auditorium. Several
guests speakers and ethnic entertainment will follow.
From 11 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. cafeterias in both the Executive Office
Building and the Stella Werner Council Office Building (COB) will feature
information exhibits and entertainment, as well as arts and crafts and
international foods for a nominal fee. The Stella Werner Council Office
Building is located at 100 Maryland Avenue, Rockville.
An afternoon seminar, entitled "Diversity and Workplace Productivity
Issues," will be held in the EOB lobby auditorium from 1:30 to 4:00 p.m.
Limited parking is available in the EOB underground parking garage on
the G-2 level and in the COB garage, located at the intersection of Monroe and
Fleet streets.
